Discharge Criteria

An individual will be discharged from Day Support Services when they have improved their skills and no longer need the services, when they behave in a manner that is not conducive to learning, when their behavior disrupts the ability of other's to learn and when their behavior puts them and/or others at risk for their safety..
Each individual served in the program must agree to abide by the Rules of Conduct. This program is not designed to meet the needs of individuals who require a high degree of one-on-one supervision to control behaviors or to meet the individual's medical needs. Cabaniss reserves the right to terminate services giving at least ten (10) days notice if it is determined that the individual's needs cannot be met either behaviorally or medically. Immediate, emergency termination of day support services may result when the Director determines that the individual's medical needs are too great, behaviors are out of control, a threat to other's safety and/or unmanageable for staff to individual ratio.
It is understood that the individual, authorized representative or legal guardian may terminate services giving at least ten (10) days notice if it is felt that the program is not meeting the individuals' need.
